I learned a valuable lesson: crab legs are both super tasty and bae is better at getting at the crab legs than me.
In fact, I could have used some expert guidance from the video below on how to really make crab legs work for me!
Bae and I took a trip to Red Lobster. Yes. The Red Lobster. We went to the Inglewood, CA location and had a great evening indulging on some comfort seafood!

The entire experience was super fun because the people at the restaurant were really cool. Our host was supported by a very friendly staff, who I feel a little closer to now that we spent an evening together.
It was great because we were sat next to the bar, and the bar area is where the action happens. We heard the bar drinks being ordered, the custom cocktails were called and we heard the insider action at the restaurant. It turns out the place is filled with super friendly people, which is great to see!
We heard two birthdays being celebrated which added to the fun spirit of the restaurant. It was great to see.
Our meal was tasty, as we went to experience Crabfest!
We started with two appetizers, the Crab Fritters and the Coconut Shrimp, and even before those came out we were treated to delicious biscuits. I ordered the New! Rogue Wave drink, which came with special strawberry flavoring. They let me keep the cup.
The Crab Fritters were delicious fried fare with lots of crab meat, a side of fries and a lemon garlic aoli dipping sauce. The Coconut Shrimp came with a side of pinia colada sauce. That sauce was awesome! I’m a sucker for good sauces.
These were already good portions, but we came hungry. The Rogue Wave drink was delicious, sporting Sauza Gold Tequila, the house margarita mix and a splash of ginger ale. They were out of Curacao because everyone has been ordering this drink, so we got the limited strawberry version!
Then, our main courses arrived, starting with a light and airy Caesar salad. It was really good.
Bae got the Crab Cake Dinner and I got the Crab Lover’s Dream! Both were delicious. The North American snow and king crab on my plate was just the right amount of salty, garlicky and buttery! Bae helped me with the de-crabbing of my crabby crabs. The butter sauce was awesome, and that baked potato really hit the spot. The linguine alfredo was super tasty.
Bae’s Crab Cake Dinner was delicious. I know because I had some! The Meyer lemon aoli is unique because it’s sweeter than most lemons. It added some great texture to the plate.
Then, to top it off we were treated to a scoop of ice cream and chocolate syrup. I don’t think it’s on the menu, but Jackie brought it out because we couldn’t decide on which dessert to get.
The highlight of the meal for me was the great service and the super friendly staff. The food is super yummy too!
